If it weren’t for Alison, I’m not sure I would have made it through my teenage years relatively unscathed. It all started that fateful first day of swim practice our freshman year and we’ve managed to remain good friends since then. I couldn’t have been happier when Russ texted me to tell me that he was flying down to San Diego and that he was planning on surprising Alison with a marriage proposal. Since I was in town at the time I was able to share in his plans. Of course I photographed their engagement and then we took a few portraits before heading off to dinner to celebrate. It was a wonderful time.
